Timber Recycling
As part of our on-going commitment to the environment. Our goal is to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill down to a minimum.
To aid us to achieve this goal we have recently purchased a JAPA 370 firewood-processing machine.The volume of timber being produced by our tree surgery and forestry teams has been increasing year on year. This has been causing problems for both storage and disposal. This piece of equipment will help us to recycle the bulk of timber produced into firewood.The timber is seasoned before retail, as this keeps the carbon emissions down to a minimum. The logs are then sold as firewood by the bag or pickup load. Our goal is to create supply chains to the public and trade through various outlets.
As we are currently working towards the Quality Standard National Highways Sector 18 Scheme, this is one of initiatives we have put in place to recycle all the waste being produced by our company.
