Monday to Friday 7:30am start

We are renowned for our strong reputation, which is the cornerstone of the business and built on the professional services we provide to local authorities, housing associations, schools, colleges and major construction companies.

The area we are looking to recruit is within our Highways department. We carry out a wide range of Highways operations ranging from tree surgery, grass cutting, hedge cutting, fencing and traffic management schemes.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Use of various powered equipment for tree pruning and felling, hedge reduction and trimming
  • Roping to support climbers in the tree
  • General pruning and maintenance of trees as directed
  • Processing of arisings using a chipper
  • Supporting stump grinding operations
  • Understanding of tree and plant healthcare
  • Sound risk assessment skills,
  • Providing a high level of Customer Service
  • Undertake general horticultural and maintenance works as required due to seasonal workload

Essential

  • NPTC CS30, CS31, CS38
  • Driving licence
  • Minimum of 1 years experience
  • Be highly motivated and able to work to a high standard of both safety and quality
  • Ideally, candidates should live in within 30 minutes of Hertford

Desirable

  • CSCS card
  • First Aid certificate
  • Tow chippers / trailers licence
  • C1 licence entitlement (7.5 Ton)
